Made for the annual PA Dutch Folk Festival held in Baerricks Kounty (Berks County) PA. Fersommling in Pennsylvanian German Dutch means gathering and has been held every year starting in 1937 except for 3 yrs during WW2 and 2 yrs during COVID. Not to be confused with the Kutztown Dutch Folk Festival.
These are the older souvenirs that I’m aware of (I haven’t tried to track any past 1970. Many are just trivets with different pictures).
- 1939- Baerricks Kounty Deitsch, 3 footed kettle w/ wire handle (also available chromed)
- 1952- Die Baerricks, hod (coal) bucket
- 1953- Baerricks, miniature sad iron
- 1954- Baerricks Fersommling, 4 1/2″ diameter skillet
- 1957- Barricks (note the different spelling), ax/hatchet
Pictures coming soon…
